Newer homes use PVC or ABS for drain and sewer lines. The material resists roots and corrosion, but the line is only as good as its installation: poor bedding creates bellies, unglued joints leak and heavy equipment can crush a shallow pipe.
We inspect plastic lines for slope problems, joint gaps, deformation, debris left by construction and any damage from landscaping or other trades.

Can new pipe have problems?
Yes. Installation errors are the main cause: bellies, missing glue, debris and crushed sections.
Is ABS different from PVC?
ABS is black and PVC is typically white or light gray. Both are used for drains. The camera findings are interpreted the same way.
Should I scope a new build?
It is a smart check before the builder’s one-year window closes, and before final inspection if you can.
