RECCH 0200:00:00Pipe Depth Measurement explained.
A sewer line two feet down is a different job from one nine feet down. Depth decides whether a repair can be done by spot dig, whether trenchless methods make sense and how much a contractor will charge.
While locating the line we take depth readings at the points that matter: at the house, at turns, at problem spots and near the street. You get the numbers marked on the ground and written in the summary.

Can you measure through concrete?
Often yes, though the reading may be less precise.
