RECCH 0800:00:00Sewer Odor Investigation explained.
Sewer gas does not belong inside your home. Common causes are simple, like a dry floor-drain trap, and some are serious, like a cracked drain pipe or a failed seal. Guessing wastes money and leaves the smell.
We check traps and seals, then camera the lines that could leak gas or sewage: under the slab, in the walls and out to the yard. When we find the source, we show you.

Is sewer gas dangerous?
It can be a health concern and it can be flammable in high concentrations. If you smell strong gas or feel unwell, leave and call for help.
Is it the vent?
A blocked or broken vent can also cause odors and slow drains. We consider it as part of the diagnosis.
Will running water fix it?
If the trap was dry, yes, and that is a quick test. If it keeps returning, something else is wrong.
