What drives the cost of a camera inspection.
Every line is different. This guide explains what moves the price so your quote makes sense.

- Plain English
RECCH 0100:00:00Why we do not post one price.
A short basement drain behind a tub and a 150-foot sewer line with three bends under a driveway are both camera inspections, but they are not the same job. Locating a short lateral is a different job from mapping a large property.
So we confirm the price before we start, based on what you tell us about the line. In the meantime the tool on this page gives a rough planning range, so you can think about budget and what to bundle into one visit.
Inspection factors.
- Line length
- More pipe to run and record takes more time.
- Access
- An outdoor cleanout is simple. Pulling a toilet or finding hidden access adds work.
- Pipe size and bends
- Crawler versus push camera, and how many turns, change the setup.
- Condition of the line
- Heavy grease, roots or debris may need cleaning before the camera can pass.
- Number of lines
- Extra branches or a second building add visits and time.
- Report needs
- A copy for an agent, insurer or lender and extra documentation add a little.
Locating factors.
- Length of the route
- Longer lines take longer to trace and mark.
- Depth and soil
- Deep lines and conductive soils are slower to read.
- Surface
- Concrete and heavy landscaping make marking harder.
- Scope of marking
- Route only, or route plus depth plus photos and a sketch.
- Timing
- After-hours or same-day work can carry a premium.
- Property size
- Larger properties mean more tracing.
Which camera fits your line?
Line length, bends and access decide push camera versus crawler.
Cost FAQ.
How much does a camera inspection cost?
It depends on the line, access and what you need. Our estimator gives a planning range, and we confirm the price before we start.
Do you offer same-day service?
Often we can get to urgent calls quickly. Call (615) 952-0844 and we will tell you what we can do today.
Can you clean the line first?
Yes. If grease, roots or debris block the camera, hydro-jetting first lets us see the real pipe.
What payment options are there?
Ask when you book. Payment methods and any financing vary, and we explain them before work begins.
